I've always felt strongly attached to the visual representation of my life as a little boat out on the ocean. Where the waves and storms would toss me around, nearly drown me, but also give me some of the most clearest and calmest moments in my life.
An anchor tattoo did end up on my foot (although the exact design could not be inked there). I know many Christians believe tattoos are not for us, but I just needed this very permanent reminder of where I'm anchored!
While looking at my foot, this lowest part of my body, I'm being reminded that when I was at the lowest of my life, I would always know where I'm anchored: In God. That no matter how hard the waves try to toss me around and try to drown me. I know that God never lets go of me.
Even when I don't always feel His presence, it's in those moments where my lifeline is at its maximum and I feel that thug that holds me in place, when I'm reminded that I will never drift too far away. That God won't let me drift away.
At the very same time, the anchor stands for peace. Think about this, when on your boat, you arrive in a beautiful bay and you want to stop for a while; you release your anchor to stay in place. So you can rest. That's what I feel when I'm out in nature. That's where I find my peace and where I can rest.
Therefor nature will always remain a huge theme throughout Faith Lifeline. Also, I dearly love this planet and all its representations of God's mighty creating hand, so it won't come as a surprise that I will do everything within my reach (and actions) to help preserve the environment as much as I can. I try to make sure that everything Faith Lifeline uses is recycled, honest and fair.
